North Campus Addition

Covered outdoor space for a variety of social gatherings form the heart of this residential renovation project. Designed to rhyme with the existing interplay of roof and interior ceiling, a new reverse-sloping sheltering visor shades the existing patio while framing views towards the Sandia Mountains. The resulting circulation between indoor living space and outdoor living space creates a feeling of expansiveness.

The covered Outdoor Patio includes an exterior sink plus a large amount of storage space below a stainless steel countertop finished with a Navy edge detail. Materials were chosen for durability while integrating with existing construction.

An existing garage donated its extra length to claim indoor living area and allow an interior connection to the Guest Suite - which includes new closet space, new finishes, and new fixtures in the Guest Bath.
